One thing that I can say about Hollywood today, is that looks are no longer a requirement to "make it big". Talent is actually starting to become the priority. But what happens when you have both talent and beauty and you still haven't "made it big"?
I thought about 4 of my favorite actress's and 1 of my favorite singers that have been under the radar for quite some time.
Jurnee Smollett started off as a child actor. I remember seeing her on a few episodes of full house, and then she hit the big screen with her starring role in Eve's Bayou. There were other shows she did in between Full house and Eve's Bayou, including her own sitcom with her real life brothers and sister. Jurnee stayed busy with small parts on t.v. and in films, until starring in The Great Debaters in 2007. Jurnee has grown from and adorable child to a beautiful woman with a great talent. So why has Hollywood kept her under the radar? Check for Jurnee in Tyler Perry's upcoming film The Marriage Counselor.
Jennifer Freeman who is best known for her role as Claire Kyle on My Wife and Kids, but has also had roles in films such as You Got Served and Johnson Family Vacation. Freeman has been keeping busy with small roles in and motherhood. Will Hollywood keep her under the radar?
